1. Who we are and our roles
Site operator / controller for account, billing, and telemetry data: FOP Babmyndra Oleksandr Oleksandrovych, address: Slyvyne, Tsentralna St., 53, privacy email: privacy@cowculator.app.
For data collected via clients’ public calculators, Cowculator acts as a processor, and the respective client (calculator owner) is the controller.
Representatives (where required): EU — eurep@cowculator.app; UK — ukrep@cowculator.app. Privacy officer/DPO (if appointed): dpo@cowculator.app.
2. What data we process
2.1. Account and billing data (controller — Cowculator)
- Name, email, password (hashed), interface language, avatar (if added).
- Billing: payer’s legal name, address, VAT (where provided), payment tokens/metadata via Stripe, transaction history.
- Technical data: IP address, country/region, device/browser type, session identifiers, event logs, error diagnostics.
2.2. Submission data in public calculators (controller — the client)
- Form fields, attachments, timestamp, page URL, calculator identifier, widget technical metadata.
- By default, we process this data under the client’s instructions and store it to provide the service (see “Storage”).
2.3. Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary cookies for account operation and security.
- Functional/analytics cookies — only with your consent. Manage choices: /cookie-policy.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal if enabled in your browser.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Providing the service and support (performance of a contract/legitimate interest): account creation, authentication, saving preferences, calculator rendering, anti‑spam, support.
- Billing and financial reporting (performance of a contract/legal obligation): processing payments via Stripe, invoices, receipts, taxes.
- Product analytics and security (legitimate interest; consent where required): error diagnostics, load measurement, incident logging.
- Marketing emails (consent): subscription to news/updates; every email contains an unsubscribe link.
- Processing end‑user submissions (client/controller instructions): we act as a processor under the DPA.
5. International transfers
If data are transferred outside the EEA/UK/Switzerland, we implement appropriate legal mechanisms (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC 2021/914)) and apply additional safeguards where necessary.
6. Storage (retention)
- Account data: retained while the account is active and for an additional 30 days after deletion to complete technical processes/backups.
- Logs: typically 90 days (or longer where needed to investigate incidents).
- Public calculator submissions: per the client/controller’s settings or, if not specified, 365 days.
After retention periods expire, data are deleted or anonymized unless otherwise required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the rights to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction/objection to processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. Send requests to privacy@cowculator.app. If we act as a processor (data from public calculators), we will forward your request to the relevant client/controller.
You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures: TLS, access controls (principle of least privilege, 2FA for administrators), RLS/ACL policies in the database, tenant data segmentation (multi‑tenant), regular backups and restore testing, access/event logging, incident monitoring and notifications. 9. Children
The service is not intended for individuals under 18 years. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact privacy@cowculator.app — we will take steps to delete it.
10. AI and automated processing
For certain features we may use external AI models (e.g., Groq, Inc and OpenAI). Request data are transmitted to the provider for processing; we do not use such data to train models without a separate explicit consent. The client is responsible for verifying and labeling AI‑generated content in their public calculators where required by law.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. We will notify about material changes via the service or by email. The date above shows the last update.
