Two ways to get started with Cowculator

Create New

Manual creation: ideal for simple scenarios or when you already know the fields/formulas.

Create with AI

Generates a draft from your text prompt — a fast start with a structure you can refine later.

Both options follow the same 4‑step wizard; the only difference is in step 2.

Creation wizard

Step 1 — Calculator name

  • What it is: an internal name to help you find the calculator in the list.
  • Tips: keep it short and clear (3–60 characters), avoid extra special symbols.
  • Examples: “Cleaning — 1‑room apartment”, “SaaS Pricing”, “Kitchen remodel — Light”.

Step 2 — Field structure

Option A: Choose a template (if you’re creating without AI)

Pick a template close to your use case. After creation, you can fully edit fields and formulas.

Typical templates: Cleaning, Renovation, Delivery, Photo/Video, SaaS Pricing, Education, Travel.

Option B: Prompt for AI (if you’re creating with assistance)

Describe your service and desired calculation logic. The more specific you are, the better the draft.

Prompt structure: Context → Fields → Formula/logic → Hints.

Example:

Apartment cleaning: fields — area (m²), dirt level (low/medium/high),
extra: window cleaning. Formula: base 300 + area × 1.8; high — ×1.25;
windows — 50 per unit.

Step 3 — Theme (styling)

  • Choose styles and colors. Affects appearance only; doesn’t limit functionality.
  • PRO plan includes full brand color customization, etc.
  • You can change the theme anytime in the editor.

Step 4 — Review & create

  • Review the summary: name, source (template/AI prompt), theme.
  • Click Create — a working draft calculator will be generated.

After creation — you can

  • Edit fields, formulas, and (in Pro) conditional logic and hints.
  • Save and/or publish the calculator.
  • Get a short public link (e.g., for your bio link), plus iFrame code and a QR image to embed anywhere.

The calculator is ready for testing immediately after creation.
