1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help the site function, improve usability, and remember your preferences.
2. How we use cookies
In the Cowculator service, we use only the cookie categories listed below. We follow the principle of minimization: we use only as many cookies as are necessary for the service to work and for the features you have chosen.
3. Cookie categories
3.1. Strictly necessary
These cookies are required for basic site functions and security. They are always set and do not require consent.
- session_id — maintains the user session; lifetime: session.
- csrf_token — protects against cross‑site request forgery; lifetime: session.
- consent_state — stores your choice in the cookie banner; lifetime: up to 12 months.
3.2. Functional (preferences)
Allow us to remember your settings and improve your experience.
- locale — interface language; lifetime: up to 12 months.
- theme — theme/appearance; lifetime: up to 12 months.
Note: we do not currently use analytics or marketing cookies. If such categories are added in the future, they will appear in the Cookie Settings Center and will require your consent.
4. Consent and cookie controls
We apply an opt‑in mode for all non‑essential cookies. You can give or withdraw consent at any time in the Cookie Settings Center.
If you block or delete cookies, some features may work with limitations.
5. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal if it is enabled in your browser or extension. When this signal is present, non‑essential cookie categories will be disabled automatically.
6. Cookie retention
The retention period depends on the cookie type: session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent cookies are deleted automatically on expiry (typically up to 12 months) or manually via your browser settings.
7. Third‑party services
Some features may rely on third‑party services (e.g., Cloudflare for security and content delivery, Stripe for payments). Such services may set their own strictly necessary cookies under their respective policies.
8. More information
See our Privacy Policy for details about personal‑data processing. You can review our Terms of Use here.
